Kansas State Fair Scholastic Press Corps (Link)

On Sept. 11, five Viking Media students spent the day in Hutchinson at the Kansas State Fair. Students were tasked with creating a four-minute video that covered three topics. One topic was assigned to them ahead of time. One topic was drawn from a hat on-site, and one was a student-choice project. We are still waiting for judges’ critiques.

2025 JEA/NSPA Spring National Convention – Seattle, Wash. (Link)

Last spring, Viking Media editors traveled to Seattle to attend the 2025 JEA/NSPA Spring National Convention. After months of fundraising, WHS students were able to network with students from across the nation at the largest gathering of high school student-journalists in the world.

Quincee has become the Viking Media video editing guru. Last year, she chose to immerse herself in the world of video editing by creating postseason highlight videos for the WHS boys and girls basketball teams.
